GRGB to Sponsor ALS Evening of Hope

Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm, Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown LLP (GRGB) has announced that they will be sponsoring the Wisconsin ALS Association's Black Tie Gala, the Evening of Hope. The event, which began in 1993, will be held on March 24, 2012 at the Hyatt Regency in Milwaukee. The Evening of Hope enjoys an average attendance of over 500 people and features silent and voice auctions, dinner, speakers and dancing.

The Evening of Hope was the brainchild of Jeff Kaufman, a former partner of GRGB, who succumbed to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, in March 2010. Kaufman, who battled the disease for 21 years (80% of those with ALS die with five years of diagnosis), led the charge in raising funds for ALS research along with his wife Jan, working tirelessly to organize and plan the Evening of Hope event.

The lawyers and staff at GRGB have been a part of the Evening of Hope since the event's inception in 1993. "We knew we had to be a part of this event and help Jeff with his fight. The GRGB family fought alongside him during his long and courageous battle with ALS, and now we fight in his memory," notes Kathryn A. Keppel, partner at GRGB and President of the ALS Association-Wisconsin Chapter.

GRGB Announces Four Rising Stars in the Law Community

Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm, Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown (GRGB) has announced that four attorneys from their team have been awarded the Super Lawyer's Rising Star award.

The four individuals receiving this prestigious distinction include Jason D. Luczak, Steven C. McGaver, Christopher L. Strohbehn and Erin M. Strohbehn. "This award only begins to reflect the dedication and hard work these four attorneys exhibit on every case for which they are a part," notes Founding Partner, Franklyn Gimbel. "We are thrilled that they are being recognized for something we have long known to be a part of their work ethic. It clearly demonstrates the dedication they each hold to providing excellence in the practice of law," he adds.

The Rising Star award designation is given to only 2.5 percent of attorneys under the age of 40 (or who have been practicing for 10 years or less) within a state. Recipients are selected based on peer nominations as well as careful analysis from an attorney-led research team. "This award is a distinct honor for a young lawyer as well as their firm. The fact that we are fortunate to have four Rising Star recipients as part of our team is a testament to the caliber of attorneys that represent our firm's and our client's best interests," Gimbel concludes.
