Kathy joined GRGB in 1989 as an Associate Attorney. Kathy has a distinct ability to make people immediately feel comfortable but she is also known for her no-nonsense approach and willingness to fight hard for her client.

Kathy has authored scores of appellate and trial court briefs in all areas of GRGB's practice. Known as the firm's "wordsmith," she provides a distinctive written voice to her briefs. Kathy has successfully briefed winning appeals in matters as diverse as contract interpretation, spousal support, criminal and civil cases and procedural matters. She also handles motions, briefs, discovery and a variety of civil and criminal matters.

Kathy is recognized as a Super Lawyer in appellate practice and is a Fellow of the Wisconsin Law Foundation.

Kathy also is extremely committed to charitable causes, foremost being The ALS Association-Wisconsin Chapter. A long-time member of the Chapter's Board of Directors, Kathy served as Board President from 2012 to 2014 and began her second presidential term in January 2018. She was also a member of the planning committee for the Chapter's annual black tie gala, the Evening of Hope, is a member of the Chapter's Fundraising Committee and provides editorial input on many Chapter publications. Kathy also is a long-time supporter of organizations and events in her hometown of La Crosse: The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater La Crosse, including a role on the planning committee for the Club's annual Glow in the Deke run and walk; Gundersen Health System's Steppin' Out in Pink Walk supporting breast cancer research and support services; and Aquinas Catholic Schools, including the Gold Gala and Booster Club. In 2017, Aquinas gave Kathy one of its highest honors, the Bishop John Paul Distinguished Alumnus Award.

When she is not authoring winning briefs for her clients, Kathy enjoys traveling and spending time with her extended family. You will often find her in the stands or on the sidelines cheering on the sporting exploits of her nephews, younger cousins and friends' children.
