As a respected former federal prosecutor, Tom joined GRGB in 1978.  His superlative understanding of the federal court system is highly praised among the Wisconsin Law community; however, he prides himself on tailoring his legal expertise to the meet the unique needs of each client and each case.  In his own words, Tom suggests that he is "not a lawyer, but rather an advocate for the client."

Tom's experience in the United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin has given him the tools needed to build a highly successful white collar criminal defense practice.  He has an equally thriving practice representing individuals and businesses in a wide variety of civil areas, including almost 20 years defending manufacturers against product liability claims.

At the heart of his client attorney relationships is an ardent belief that a reputation must be earned and is not simply bestowed.  He lives out this philosophy with each client he serves, making their problems his own.   "I care about the results and how it affects my clients," Tom notes.   And, his clients take great comfort in knowing they can depend on him for stability and empathy.

While the accolade that resounds most strongly with Tom is the satisfaction of his clients, Tom is also renowned among his peers.  He has been recognized as one of "Best Lawyers in America" by a national publication, and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an honor bestowed upon less than five percent of the trial lawyers in the United States.

When he is not helping clients solve difficult problems, Tom loves to spend time restoring classic cars. He also enjoys time at the lake with his family.
