Paul S. Crawford

Paul S. Crawford is an Associate in the Family Law Department at Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin, & Brown, LLP in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Crawford worked in both the private and public sectors, including as a staff attorney at the Wisconsin State Public Defender’s Office, where he honed his client advocacy and litigation skills. His experience includes family law, criminal defense and civil litigation.

Attorney Crawford has litigated over 20 jury trials, nearly 100 bench trials, and developed an expansive and creative motion practice to zealously advocate for his clients. He has defended clients faced with first-degree intentional homicide, serious drug charges, domestic violence-related charges, complex felonies, restraining orders and has handled complex motion practices on these cases.

Paul values client collaboration and utilizing his acquired experience both in and out of the courtroom to work to achieve his clients’ goals. “At the heart of my cases are my clients. I value their stories, who they really are, because it makes the difference and drives me to always work my hardest to reach the desired outcome.”

Paul received his J.D. from Marquette University Law School with honors; and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a Minor in Classical Studies from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, magna cum laude. He is licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin and the Eastern District of the United States District Court for Wisconsin.

Paul has also mentored outside attorney groups in the areas of suppression of identification, spoliation of evidence, collaterally attacking prior convictions, and the handling OWI cases.

When he’s not at work, Attorney Crawford enjoys spending time with his wife and son, their 3 dogs, cat, and bearded dragon. He likes being outdoors, volunteering in his community, challenging crossword puzzles, and supporting the Brewers, Packers, and Bucks.
