Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP to Sponsor Walk to Defeat ALS

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm, Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP has announced that they will be sponsoring the Wisconsin ALS Association's Walk to Defeat ALS. The Milwaukee event, will take place Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Greenfield Park.

The fight to find a cure for ALS takes on a special meaning for the team at GRGB, as they walk in memory Jeff Kaufman, a former partner of GRGB, who succumbed to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig 's disease, in March 2010. Kaufman battled the disease for 21 years (80% of those with ALS die with five years of diagnosis) and led the charge in raising funds for ALS research along with his wife, Jan.

The Milwaukee Walk to Defeat ALS is one of several such events that take place in the State of Wisconsin along with approximately 165 walks nationwide, each year. The combined efforts all of these events have raised over $137 million, towards ALS research since the year 2000. The three mile Milwaukee Walk to Defeat ALS starts at 10:00 a.m., with the check-in starting at 8:00 a.m.
