Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP Announces Recognition of Nine Super Lawyers

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm, Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP has announced that nine attorneys from their team have been recognized as Super Lawyers, by Super Lawyer Magazine.

The nine individuals receiving this prestigious distinction include Thomas Brown, Raymond Dall'Osto, Franklyn Gimbel, Joshua Gimbel, Michael Guerin, Kathryn Keppel, Patrick Knight, and Christopher Strohbehn. “We have always been fortunate to staff the best and brightest attorneys in the State of Wisconsin,” notes GRGB Founding Partner, Franklyn Gimbel. “Our goal as a firm is to serve the community and our clients to the best of our abilities. The Super Lawyers distinction shows that we are doing just that,” He adds. For his part, Gimbel was also recognized as one of the top 50 lawyers in Wisconsin, out of a pool of more than 25,000 and top 25 lawyers in Milwaukee, out of 5,500.

In addition to the Super Lawyers designation, four of the firm’s up-and-coming attorneys were recognized as Rising Stars. This represents close to 90% of the firm’s entire team of attorneys who received recognition for their stellar abilities in the Wisconsin legal community.

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm, Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP has announced that three attorneys from their team have been awarded the Super Lawyer Rising Star award.

The three individuals receiving this prestigious distinction include Jason Luczak, Steven McGaver, and Erin Strohbehn. “These three individuals embody the depth of abilities represented here at GRGB. Our up-and-coming lawyers symbolize a very bright future for our firm and this award is a reflection of the dedication and hard work these three attorneys display on every case for which they are a part,” notes Founding Partner, Franklyn Gimbel. “While we are thrilled about the Rising Star recognition, anyone who has had the pleasure of working with these individuals knows that this is something that is naturally a part of their work ethic. It clearly demonstrates the resolve they each hold to providing excellence in the practice of law,” he adds.

The Rising Star award designation is given to only 2.5 percent of attorneys under the age of 40 (or who have been practicing for 10 years or less) within a state. Recipients are selected based on peer nominations as well as careful analysis from an attorney-led research team. “This award is a distinct honor for a young lawyer. The fact that we are fortunate to have three Rising Star recipients as well as nine Super Lawyers as part of our team is a testament to the caliber of attorneys that represent our firm’s and our client’s best interests,” Gimbel concludes.

Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP to Sponsor ALS Evening of Hope

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm, Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP has announced that it will be sponsoring the 21st Evening of Hope, the ALS Association-Wisconsin Chapter’s annual black tie gala to raise funds for ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) research. The event, which began in 1993, will be held on March 8, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency in Milwaukee. The Evening of Hope planning committee anticipates over 700 people will attend the event featuring silent and voice auctions, dinner, speakers and dancing.

The 21th will feature special guest speaker, Emmy-winning CNN anchor, Suzanne Malveaux. Malveaux will share how ALS has personally touched her and her family, and specifically, how the disease has affected her mother, Myrna Malveaux, who has battled ALS for over two years. In July of 2013, Suzanne featured a special series on CNN to draw attention to the debilitating effects of the disease and share her family’s personal battle.

The Evening of Hope was the brainchild of Jeff Kaufman, a former partner of GRGB, who succumbed to ALS in March 2010. Kaufman, who battled the disease for 21 years (80% of those with ALS die with five years of diagnosis), led the charge in raising funds for ALS research along with his wife Jan, working tirelessly to organize and plan the Evening of Hope event.

he Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm of Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Attorney Max T. Stephenson to their family law team. Stephenson, a 2013 graduate of Marquette Law School has worked as a law clerk for the firm since 2012.

During law school, he served as the Chief Justice of the MU Moot Court Association and competed in the Jenkins Honors Moot Court Competition, an honor bestowed upon only the top sixteen students from the Appellate Writing and Advocacy. Stephenson also competed in the Robert F. Wagner National Labor & Employment Law Moot Court Competition in New York, which is one of the nation’s largest student-run moot court competitions. His dedication to the Marquette Moot Court program still remains strong as he serves as part of the coaching staff for the NMCC team.

GRGB Attorneys Lead MU Moot Court Team to Regional Victory

GRGB’s Luczak Lead MU Moot Court Team to Regional Victory

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm, Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP is proud to announce that two of their attorneys, Jason Luczak and another GRGB attorney are serving as team coaches for one of Marquette University’s (MU) Moot Court teams. The pair recently led their team of oral advocates to a regional victory in the in the National Moot Court Competition (NMCC). The team will now advance to the National Moot Court Competition Finals in February 2014 in New York City. This is the first time since 1974 that an MU team has made it to the finals in this prestigious competition.

The National Moot Court Competition is one of nation’s oldest and most respected competitions. The event is co-sponsored by the New York City Bar Association and the American College of Trial Lawyers. This year’s regional events, which take place across the country in the month November, featured over 190 teams from 124 law schools. Only 30 of those teams will advance to the New York City finals, which are held in the House of the historic New York City Bar Association.

“It is a thrill to work with such skilled student lawyers,” Notes Luczak. “The maturity and growth they showed not only in preparation for the regional event, but also during competition were remarkable. I look forward to seeing their continued skill development as we prepare for competition in New York.”
