Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown Attorney, Kathryn A. Keppel Elected as Wisconsin Law Foundation Fellow

Milwaukee, WI — The Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm, Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown (GRGB) is proud to announce that Attorney Kathryn A. Keppel has been elected as a Wisconsin Law Foundation Fellow. Wisconsin Law Foundation Fellows, who are selected annually, are recognized in the legal profession for outstanding attainment in professional, public, or private careers for devotion to the welfare of their community, state, and nation and the advancement of the legal profession.

Steven McGaver joined the firm in 2002, beginning his GRGB career as a messenger and then transitioning to a law clerk position. Steve, a 2006 graduate of Marquette University Law School (cum laude), focuses his practice on criminal defense and general civil litigation, as well as licensing, municipal law and healthcare law.

Steve was designated as an “Up and Coming Lawyer,” by the Wisconsin Law Journal in 2010, has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers magazine every year since 2009 and is rated “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell. Steve is also a past president and secretary of the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association, has served on the board of the State Bar of Wisconsin Young Lawyers Division, and is an active member of several other community organizations.

Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown LLP (GRGB) today announced that two of its associates, Steven C. McGaver and Erin M. Strohbehn, have been promoted to partner.

Steven McGaver joined the firm in 2002, beginning his GRGB career as a messenger and then transitioning to a law clerk position. Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown Announces Recognition of Nine Super Lawyers

Milwaukee, WI — The Milwaukee, Wisconsin based trial and litigation law firm, Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown LLP (GRGB) has announced that nine attorneys from their team have been recognized as Super Lawyers, by Super Lawyer Magazine.

The nine individuals receiving this prestigious distinction include Thomas Brown, Raymond Dall'Osto, Franklyn Gimbel, Joshua Gimbel, Michael Guerin, Kathryn Keppel, Patrick Knight, Richard Reilly and Christopher Strohbehn. “We do our best to assure that all clients receive focused, professional attention to their needs. To be recognized for our service and come to the attention of others in the legal community, is indeed a high honor” notes GRGB Founding Partner, Franklyn Gimbel. For his part, Gimbel was also recognized as one of the top 50 lawyers in Wisconsin, out of a pool of more than 25,000 and top 25 lawyers in Milwaukee, out of 5,500.

In addition to the Super Lawyers designation, Jason Luczak, Steven McGaver and Erin Strohbehn were recognized as Rising Stars. This represents close to 90% of the firm’s entire team of attorneys who received recognition for their stellar abilities in the Wisconsin legal community.

Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown Paralegal, John Goudie, Elected President of the American Alliance of Paralegals

John Goudie

At its recent annual meeting the American Alliance of Paralegals, Inc. held elections for the offices of President and Director of National Affairs. Each position is a two-year term, commencing January 1, 2016.

John C. Goudie, AACP was elected to the office of President. Goudie brings over twenty-eight years of paralegal experience in personal injury and workers’ compensation law to the Board. He was one of the first non-lawyers to obtain his license to represent injured employees in Wisconsin before the workers’ compensation administrative agency. He is employed in the Health Law Corporate Compliance practice of Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown LLP in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Goudie holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and a paralegal certificate from Concordia University - Wisconsin. Goudie was a founding member of the Wisconsin State Bar Task Force on Paralegal Regulation which drafted the paralegal licensure petition presented to the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He is also Chair of the Milwaukee Area Technical College Paralegal Program Advisory Committee.

Goudie served as Director of National Affairs for the American Alliance for five years. This position will be filled by appointment of the American Alliance Board.
