Josh Gimbel Joins Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP

Joshua GimbelMILWAUKEE - Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP today announced the addition of attorney Joshua Gimbel. The Milwaukee firm was founded in 1968 by Josh's father, Franklyn Gimbel.

Formerly a partner at Michael, Best & Friedrich, Josh Gimbel's practice focuses on commercial and corporate litigation, as well as land use and zoning, real estate and municipal law. Josh also represents developers and individuals in special and conditional use permit approvals, zoning changes, and developer agreement negotiations.

"I have a pragmatic, results-driven philosophy for my clients - a trait I learned from my father, and an ethic that permeates GRGB," said Gimbel. "After 25 years at Michael Best, I leave behind many talented colleagues and friends, but I am thrilled to finally practice with my dad and his problem-solving colleagues."

Gimbel has long been recognized in the area of commercial litigation by Woodward/White's The Best Lawyers in America, and was named by the same publication as one of its "Lawyers of the Year" in litigation - land use & zoning. Josh has also been recognized for real estate work by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business and is listed as a "Wisconsin Super Lawyer" (in land use and zoning and general litigation) by Super Lawyers magazine.

Like his father, Josh is very involved in his community. He is currently the president of the Gene & Ruth Posner Foundation, chair-elect of the Jewish Home and Care Center, and is a board member with the Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin and the Vince Lombardi Cancer Foundation. He is also a trustee on the Public Policy Forum.

"I am overjoyed to have Josh join the firm," said Franklyn Gimbel. "He is a talented and successful lawyer; is active in the community and also happens to be my son. I am so happy to have a second generation Gimbel in the fold to help propel the firm into the future. My partners and I welcome Josh 'home' to GRGB."
